Ethos Website Refresh
Background
Ethos was a Sercante client who wanted to update their branding and apply those styles to their Wordpress site. With a limited number of hours for this project, I decided to work with their existing Wordpress theme and simply update some CSS and offer some brand guidelines to help them maintain consistency across their site.
Brand Refresh Inspiration
Ethos specializes in the Salesforce ecosystem and their branding included cloud motifs, bright light blue and white, and outdated stock photography. (see https://web.archive.org/web/20190123083822/https://www.ethos.com/)
I decided to take a more nuanced approach and leverage the Trailblazer aspect of Salesforce for a more subtle tie-in. I wanted to offer a color palette that invoked adventure but also would be easily paired with more modern and sophisticated stock photography. This would make it easier for them to continue to maintain their own site moving forward.
The color palette is more natural, and it is easy to find relevant imagery that feels like it is customzied for their brand.
Design Direction
I created a general design direction guide as a way to show my design concept to the Ethos team and to provide them with some general guidelines around choosing appropriate stock photography to fit their new brand.
Mockup
Aside from the style updates, I really wanted to provide some guidance on how to simplify things. Previously their pages had a lot of information and felt overwhelming. This homepage mockup was a quick way to show them how we could simplify things.
Basic Style Guide
This basic style guide was a supplemental PDF I provided to the team to help them maintain consistency across their site and other assets.
Pardot Assets
Using my brand direction and style guide, my team was able to create various flexible email templates for the Ethos team that are built for usage in Pardot.
I also provided them with a landing page template, custom form style layout template, and customized email preference center and unsubscribe page templates.
These assets are all fully responsive, and user friendly to make customization quick and easy.
