Miscellany: A Jazz Nutcracker Tickets
I was asked by a dance company to create the art for their upcoming holiday performance, "Miscellany: A Jazz Nutcracker". I pulled inspiration from Russian graphic design, Post WWII era and other elements surrounding the Jazz culture. My goal was to really hone in on the abstraction and simplicity of all these elements to piece them together.
·The problem was to create a ticket that was cost efficient, contained all event information and could be used for admission of both adult and child.
·My solution was to use the cheapest option provided by the printer...business cards. Using the front and back of the card I presented all pertinent event information without overcrowding. I also created a simple system to differentiate adult from child admission. I was able to execute this without loosing the artistic integrity of the branding for the event. YES!!!
This was a project that I really just put my heart into and I'm really satisfied with the results. Enjoy!
