National Gallery of Art

An old design concept for the National Gallery of Art. The idea behind the approach was based in the idea of augmenting the browse and discovery experience of being in a museum. A visitor might stumble upon a painting they really like, but what next? Here my design seeks to enable a serendipitous journey through art.

A visitor can look at the museum collection chronologically, or filter to something more specific like Italian Artists, during the Renaissance. Once a piece of art is selected, related work is shown connected to the first piece, the connections are displayed and the visitor can choose to go down the rabbit hole, or go back to the search/filter/chronological view
