Bauhaus Tribute

This experimental packaging consisted of designing and building a tribute to a dead typographer, through the materialization of an ergonomic case for a typographic character of one of his fonts. In this case, the typographer chosen was Herbert Bayer (Den Haag 1900- Santa Bárbara 1985) who created 'Bayer Universal' a typeface consisting of only lowercase letters that become the signature font of the Bauhaus School.

The materials, geometrical shapes and primary colours used were inspired by this design movement who reflects the idea of functionality and minimalism. Only line, shape and colours mattered. Anything else is unnecessary and could, therefore, be reduced.

I designed, sanded, assembled, painted, and varnished all the pieces with a lot of effort! 💪
