Solar Term - Lidong

Lidong is one of the 24 solar terms of China.

Li(立) means establish and start. Dong(冬) means winter, the end of a year.

In the ancient time, people believed that around this time pheasants would transform into clams, because they could hardly see pheasant any more but start to find lots of clams along the seashore.
