SUICIDE KING art print

This was done for The Royal Couple show at the Get Up Gallery in Las Vegas. We were asked to reimagine a suit from a deck of cards. I was assigned the King and Queen of Hearts - the Suicide King and Queen. Doing the research on those two ended up being a lot of fun.

The King is often referred to as the "Suicide King" because he appears to be sticking his sword into his head. In other deck designs he is drawn differently and could indicate that someone else stabbed him. "Murder, murder murder." He is the 13th card in the deck and is the only king without a mustache.

I played off all that and added some of my own interests with the Day of the Dead and tattoo theme. Hope ya dig.
