Offshore weather app

Brief- A marine organization is in the process of creating an app to alert surfers about the weather and tidal conditions. They are in the early stages of brand identity and are looking to create a series of awesome icons to illustrate the different types of surf and weather conditions.

Solution- Since the app is in the early stages of brand identity, the brief only called for weather icons to be developed. I thought, however, that to better understand the needs of the app, it would be a good idea to develop well-defined mockups. I started by establishing a color scheme that would easily convey the fun and dynamism of surfing. I then was able to come up with a versatile linear aesthetic. This aesthetic was easy to translate not only to the weather icons but to the assets and diagrams as well.
