Illustrated Album Covers - Whitney by Whitney Houston

Inspired by the illustrations from classic children's books, this is one of 18 new illustrated album covers I put together for an art show in my hometown.

Whitney by Whitney Houston. I feel like that’s all I need to say. This is Whitney’s second album, and on its release, made her into a super star. If you hear “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and don’t want to… dance with somebody, you might want to see a doctor.

All album covers were initially sketched in pencil, then scanned into Illustrator and then traced into a Live Paint vector image. Shading and strokes were added in Illustrator as well, using the amazing RetroSupply Co. Gouache Shader Brushes.
