Merchant Design | Photo Upload Guidelines

Goal:
• Now, Merchants can upload photos on their own to attract more customers. The main goal was to raise feature awareness in the administrative tool Merchants use and help them learn how to take photos that showcase their food

Constraints/requirements:
• Adequately communicating (often subjective) photo styles and accommodating the vast range of camera quality that can be used by Merchants

Product & Design Strategy:
• Communicating guidelines in a way that’s comprehensive yet not-overwhelming, and can be accessible by first-time and return users

Solution:
• Modal flow with guidelines overview for menus with 0 photos
• We are also in the midst of rebranding/theming Merchant Design products, so I took the opportunity to try out a new CTA color (blue) and standardized a feature-announcement template that can be used by the rest of the team
