Illustrated Album Covers - "Weird Al" Yankovic In 3-D

Inspired by the illustrations from classic children's books, this is one of 18 new illustrated album covers I put together for an art show in my hometown.

In 3-D by “Weird Al” Yankovic. Recently featured on Stranger Things, this is Al’s 2nd studio album, and home to one of his most famous songs – Eat It. It also features a reggae style parody about buying a condo that is so silly it makes me laugh every time I hear it. This is the album that made Al a star, and he’s still touring to this day!

All album covers were initially sketched in pencil, then scanned into Illustrator and then traced into a Live Paint vector image. Shading and strokes were added in Illustrator as well, using the amazing RetroSupply Co. Gouache Shader Brushes.
