Ever since I was a little kid I’ve been in love with letterforms. I remember being in first grade hearing rumors of another student who could teach you how to make a new style of handwriting and being so excited to learn from her. Fast forward 20ish years from then and I definitely cried a little watching the Helvetica documentary (I still didn’t even know what graphic design was back then). There’s something so charming and infinitely appealing to me about the dichotomy of tradition and flexibility within each letter. There’s more to learn and more to explore every time you sit down to draw a letter and I don’t see that getting old for me anytime soon.
