Bachelor thesis

This bachelor thesis is focused on the design of user interface for the information system in a middle and upper-class passenger car. The system uses a display located in the center of the dashboard to interact with the driver. The ergonomics of controls are based on general rules for easy and quick interaction with the proposed system. These rules are commonly used to create desktop and mobile applications.
The first part of the thesis describes the theoretical basis from which the proposed system is based. This part is complemented by an analysis of the current technical solutions of competing automobiles that deal with this problem. The second part of the thesis is the creation of custom user interface specification. Here are depicted uses cases, scenarios and based on them, logical and graphic design of the intended solution was created.
The entire solution was developed using a wireframe, which ultimately affected the individual functions of the system. As a last phase of the test cycle, a usability laboratory was used that allowed a real simulation of the functional prototype of the proposed interface.
The main result of this work is a customized user interface specification that has allowed the introduction of a simplified form of control depending on the movement of the car and other forms for a faster and clearer interaction with the car. This document can be used as the basis for implementing a solution in a particular car.
