Circle Pay "gifting" concepts

With Circle Pay retiring this month, I thought I’d look back at prototypes and sketches that *stayed* prototypes and sketches.

After a “red envelope“ concept was well received at a company hackathon, we explored a whole “gifting” feature. I designed interactive prototypes with themed messages and decorative wrapping that kept amounts hidden until opened. I ran user interviews and usability tests and presented our findings to the team.

There was a lot of enthusiasm for the feature, but it never made its way to the top of the priority list. Ultimately, it fell off the roadmap entirely.
