Christmas

This paper illustration is a first in more ways than one!

First, this is our first children's illustration. It was fun to suspend reality but also steep the image in meaning.

Second, this was a first in working with facial expressions on our paper characters. We tried vinyl, cut paper, and landed on painting the expression on. There's much for us to learn in this arena, but our first take is a proud one.

Lastly, this was a first to create so much depth in one image.
