ShakesBeer Brewing Co. Labels

Over the weekend, we took the kids to see our talented friends in a production of Shakespeare's, A Midsummer Night's Dream. I created these bottle labels as a "Stage Door Care Package" for our friends, and I am sharing them with you as a FREE printable on my blog:

Each label features a different "spiked" Shakespeare title, along with a quote from the play, and the year it was published.

I was sure to include "Nutrional Facts" and a barcode on the side of each label. This section focuses on what I like to call, "Shakespeare by the Numbers." For example, William Shakespeare wrote 37 plays (17 comedies, 10 Histories, 10 Tragedies) and killed off 74 key characters in some pretty creative ways. Each label calls out two different methods The Bard used to snuff out his actors, along with their death tolls.

As I was doing my research, I was fascinated to learn that Shakespeare is credited for inventing anywhere from 422-1700 new words in the English language. Each label also highlights several different words that he crafted!
