Fitts's Law:
The time to acquire a target is a function of the distance to and size of the target.

Example:
You have a long text of terms and conditions to read. But some users are a very lazy to scroll down through all the text and get to "I Agree" button.
As a solution - Simply give the read more button to save the space and scroll area and you will get the "I Agree" button in a single view.
