NFL Steelers Uniform Redesign

The Pittsburgh Steelers were known as the “steel curtain” for their aggressive defense back in the 1970’s, and are named after Pittsburgh’s strong ties to the steel industry. This was the inspiration for my redesign of their uniforms.

The face mask, helmet logo, and numbers are all mirrored chrome to give the steel look. The numbers take on the stencil element from the team logo. A steel plate pattern creates a graphic element on the sleeve bands and glove, and a gradient on the shoulder helps tie the uniform into the sleeve.
