Grizzly Recovery

Some graphics for Sierra Club's Grizzly Bear Recovery campaign. Grizzlies were on the brink of extinction in 1975 but thanks to decades of work their numbers have slowly climbed to a population of 1800.

This fragile, slow-reproducing population is constantly under threat from trophy hunting. 69 grizzly bears were killed in 2018 alone. The campaign's goal is to set up six recovery zones, shown on the maps, where grizzlies are given a chance for real recovery.
