Logo for Art restoration company

Inspired by the book "A Smile in the Mind: Witty Thinking in Graphic Design", which I really enjoyed! I was hoping to find a client with playful company name (not easy at all...). When I was proposed to design this logo, I couldn't stop myself :)
That's how I found the way to transform the D letter into a Dronte or Dodo bird face.
