"Quit Big Tobacco" redesign by Julia Barry
Quit Big Tobacco (Vital Strategies) is a campaign that cuts ties between marketing and tobacco to aid public health. For this redesign, the Quit Big Tobacco team wanted a sleeker, more professional look — a design sharp enough to stand up to their new target audience of ad & PR people, but not so glossy that do-gooders would be turned off or confused. The color palette was to be kept similar to their old site, but massaged to feel less accusatory and more alluring. For this project, we streamlined a large amount of content, simplified multimedia display of articles/videos/Tweets/downloads, humanized the campaign with testimonials, and made the site more interactive and modern overall. The ability to sign the pledge is also importantly at hand wherever you are on the site.
