Even when a big tech company has a skilled internal design team, sometimes involving an external design agency is necessary for specific use-cases. Usually, the tech giants approach us when they need to do an industry-vertical concept and predict its future outcomes. It's reasonable because of a few things:

2. External design agencies work with dozens of clients across many different industries so that they can successfully apply a variety of distinctive and diverse approaches to push the experience to the next level.
3. External design agencies usually work at a faster pace than big companies. It's not only a matter of financial motivation due to by project, rather than fixed, revenue streams, but design agencies are inherently bred for and excel at fast-paced work. It’s almost impossible for them to work slowly.
