V&A Illustration Awards 2018

A redesigned book cover for Yoko Ogawa's collection of short stories titled 'The Diving Pool'.

All three stories are strangely captivating, containing strong undercurrents of isolation, cruelty and the inability to form real connections. Since the Diving Pool is an enigmatic text, my images became more suggestive rather than descriptive, allowing for a heightened sense of atmosphere.

For this project, I was awarded Student Runner Up at the V&A Illustration Awards 2018.
