When it comes to creating styleguides, I believe it's important to create something that's functional rather than something conventional. More than following rules on how to create a style guide, design something that works for the developers. That's how I do it.

This is a style guide for a mobile application. It has all the specifications laid out and developers find this the easiest way to refer to the design.
