Shahre-Farang is a childlike entertainment in the form of a rectangular box, mounted on wheels, and movable, featuring images of ancient Iran and pictures of world famous landmarks. When cinema and television had not yet flourished in Iran, the Shahre-farang market was booming, and children loved watching these animated images, accompanied by the curatorial description.
