Crown Lake

😍 Did you know that I run fun “design challenges” - with prizes - every few weeks in the JUST Creative Facebook group? The idea is to encourage everyone to practice their thinking and creativity, without any real world limitations that clients often bring. This week, I took my own challenge, and here is one of the sketches!

🧩 The Challenge:
Design a logo to represent a booming tourist destination called “Crown Lake”. The destination has a huge night scene (live entertainment, gambling, etc) but it also targets families and nature enthusiasts during the day so the brand needs broad appeal. The rest is up to you.

🎯 The Solution:
My solution was to create a crown out of water, using geometric circles and semi-circles. The bottom sketch was later revised to have a wavy bottom to convey the lake VS just a straight line. I will share the finished logo, with text soon.
