The Atlas Mark

Here’s a closer look at the new brand mark for The Neurosurgical Atlas. Going into the redesign process, we knew that we needed to use the brain as a starting point for our designs, and we knew that we needed a mark that could scale well, function across platforms, and represent the organization’s innovative work.

The logo concepts we’d developed covered a spectrum from concrete to conceptual. Our goal was to create an ownable, flexible logo that defines the Atlas brand from app, to site, and beyond.

The final mark is a representation of the base of the brain, blending the line between literal representation and abstraction.
