"NewsWeek" Redesign – With Stories We Should Hear More About

I'm not a fan of mainstream media. If you haven't already heard, there's 6 media conglomerates who own just about every mainstream media source out there – this includes newspapers, TV stations, radio stations, magazines, etc. These conglomerates are Disney, Comcast, Viacom, AT&T, 21st Century Fox, and CBS; they own about 90% of all major media sources (source: Fortune.com).

The very rich and powerful figures at the top of these companies have specific agendas, and they use their conglomerates to propagate that agenda to the people. We already know that the majority of news stories today are "negative" and violent and, often times, completely insignificant compared to bigger things going on in the world.

There's a lot you can say about these media conglomerates, but Dribbble is for design, not the news, so here is a redesign of NewsWeek's website – with a few stories we should definitely read more about.
