a slider - not the BBQ kind

A slider for something!

Not sure if I totally dig the concept of having irregular "notches" along a progress bar, but this is coming along nicely. Essentially the problem I'm trying to solve (for the user) is parsing through information on a time-scale that might not necessarily be distributed in a nice, even way. Suggestions welcome, and in the meantime, I'm just playing with this concept :)
