less plastic
The game "East - West - South - North" is a popular folk game with 8x, 9x generation due to simple folding from a square paper. The game is a paper model having 4 cardinal directions which is written outside and 8 characters written inside. The players choose spin East, West, South, North directions and count the numbers of rotation; the final result which appears inside after the last rotation is the character they want to play.
Base on this game, I have an idea of designing poster that the game material is plastic instead of paper, which each part is different color metaphor for 4 directions. The artwork is a photo of the plastic-nilon game on paper poster that is refered a map (with four words "East-South-West North" at four corners symbolize for 4 directions). The photograph’s meaning is: Whenever you play the game, all cardinal directions would be plastic, the result is always plastic whenever you spin, how many rounds you rotate to find another result. That will be our future - full of plastic and no way to take back if we continue to use plastic generously and ignore protecting the environment. Hopefully people will protect the environment by limiting plastic and reusing hard-to-decompose materials.
