Mayhem at the Mill

I was recently asked to design a logo for a CrossFit competition happening at my gym in November. This was a pretty fun project, because it was just for fun, to help out the gym owner and create a cool look for something that otherwise could have ended up very basic.

The most difficult part of this was really making it look like a big explosion, with the top of the mill coming off, but keeping the details to a minimum. I landed on this many windows and "shards" so that it was interesting enough for a t-shirt, since the word mark can be removed for smaller uses.
