Art That Cooks - Logo and Brand Design

Art That Cooks is a five-starred Twin Cities business featuring hundreds of sales via Etsy's online marketplace and placement in several brick-and-mortar stores in the region for handcrafted aprons, baby garments, and other textiles.

To create a consistent brand for Lisa Wolfe, the artist behind the art, we focused on the intersection of the local Minnesota focus with sewing and the kitchen, as aprons are her key seller and her values in reusing materials and providing a unique, environmentally green product. The color palette was designed to reflect and compliment the recycled materials used both in her labels and products. The tones are muted to print well on the brown-toned recycled paper used for tags. Purple was chosen to reflect the connection to Minnesota while green is the accent to reflect the positive environmental impact of her mission.

The logo was designed as the intersection of hand-sewn textiles and the kitchen-oriented aprons which are her top seller. The Minnesota container was added to connect to the local region where Wolfe does most of her business through brick-and-mortar locations. The outline connecting to the needle's head turns the outline into a string to further the concept of her business.
