Koi Kawa

Koi Kawa is a sushi restaurant on the San Antonio River that prides itself in original and authentic sushi rolls. This sushi chef and owner needed an authentic brand to emphasize its position in the San Antonio sushi market and refreshing river view. The colors and lightness reflect the bright atmosphere, water, and color of a koi fish while the illustration keeps to a traditional aesthetic. The fish and wave play off of each other symbolizing the literal words "Koi" and "Kawa" (meaning "river") while also representing the yin-yang shape common in Asian philosophy representing a complementary relationship.
