Design Tips: Drop-down menu vs Radio-buttons

If you have less than 5 options, use radio-buttons to let the user choose an option instead of a drop-down menu. Drop-down menus are preferred when you have more than 5 options with no particular need to view them all, side by side.

If we use the drop-down menu we oblige the user to make 2 clicks instead of one when we use radio-buttons. But this is not a constant. It all depends on the situation. Sometimes drop-down will be more actual than radio-buttons. You should think about it beforehand.
