Surly Brewing Co. 2018 Concert Tee

Surly Brewing Co. commissioned me last Spring to create a limited edition, exclusive tee that could be sold at the concerts that they hosted at their outdoor festival space over the summer of 2018.

The graphic was partially inspired by my love for the band Spoon, which was to be the season's first show. The rhythm and groove that is central to their sound inspired me to utilize a bass guitar as the focal point set against a field of Surly's iconic "S" marks in halftones. I felt the S marks and the negative space gave the design a nice rhythmic feeling.
