MJ Finnegan's - 250 seater traditional Irish coach house rebrand
Two logo variants for MJ Finnegan's Restaurant & Bar, Limerick Ireland. I commissioned and worked in collaboration with Irish Illustrator Ron Wilson (http://www.ronsillustrations.com) who created the horse and cart Illustration from supplied research into an Irish cart traditionally called a 'jaunting car.'
The building itself is a 19th Century Bianconi coach house. Charles Bianconi setup the first horse-drawn transport system in Ireland in the early 19th Century. He took advantage of the glut of cheap horses available at the end of the Napoleonic wars. There are still numerous coach houses dotted around the country today. The circle logo appears on staff uniforms and as a feature in similarly styled menus.
