The Legend of Prambanan Temple

Hi guys! Here’s an illustration for an Indonesian folklore about the origin of Prambanan Temple.

The story - which is really popular in Java - is about a man called Bandung Bondowoso who wanted to marry the beautiful Roro Jonggrang. However, Roro Jonggrang never liked him so she asked for an impossible task to be done by him if he wants to marry her: he must build a thousand temples overnight. She tought since the task is impossible, Bandung will surrender on her.

Unfortunately for her, Bandung Bondowoso summons all mystical creatures to help him out for the task.
