One of the winning poster of Typography day 2019

Typography day 2019 Poster Design Competition for the title 'Dance of Typography'.
Developed from the word ‘දැල්ල’ (Dalla meaning fire in Sinhala) the first letter of the word ‘ද’ is used for the poster composition. The poster conveys the fire that converts into a passion towards dance. Therefore, the poster represents the rhythm and style of a flame. The red colour is used to show the warmth and the idea of passion towards dance, while the rhythmic patterns are converted into the strokes of the letter da. The poster is composed by combining the segments to the flame to create the letter which is then shaped and emphasis rhythmically by using the lines in the image of the dancing lady.
