Twitter Web Re-Design Concept

Twitter's new web UI has been met with a lot of controversy. This is my re-design concept based on the design choices I personally noticed could be reconsidered.

I designed the concept to reflect the current mobile version of the Twitter app, while retaining the necessary browser experience. I separated the navigation from the profile menu, and nested it alongside the Trends on the right. The center Tweet column retains the focus of attention in the middle of the screen, and the navigation menus stick to their respective sides as the window expands. As the window retracts, the UI becomes alike to the mobile/tablet/app version of Twitter, keeping a consistent user experience throughout all screens and devices.
