StoryMe Logo

Back in 2013 Arnaud Van de Calseyde and I worked on a new logo for StoryMe, a company specialised in 1 minute animation videos. I think this was one the first “professional” logo’s I worked on and it was quite a challenging project for me at the time.

The old logo, a speech balloon with a monoline script font, needed replacement as the start-up matured and attracted more customers. They wanted a logo that was fun but also appealed to a more corporate clientele. After many revisions we came up with the speech balloon shaped penguin.

In hindsight it’s wasn’t the best logo (it’s more of an illustration really) but it served it’s purpose as the quirky penguin became StoryMe’s recognisable mark and helped them stand out from the competition. The penguin was subsequently updated in 2017 by Dimitri Van Hoe.
