Doors Open Location Guide
Doors Open Lowell is a yearly event where historic buildings which are typically not open to the public are available to as part of a city-wide self guided tour. This is a joint event between Lowell National Historical Park & Lowell Historic Board. This guide originally ran in the local newspaper as an insert, and is used to provide rough walking reference and basic information on each location.
We took a shape-based track visual ID system from previous years and significantly cleaned it up and organized it. Attendees can fold the paper in a variety of easy-to-pocket ways that make it convenient to use with or without a mobile phone.
In addition to the usual newspaper insert, we reflowed the whole guide to fit on 8.5x11 for easy at-home printing or on-phone viewing.
