Grand opening invite

Here's a little progress animation from sketch to final result. It's a small request to make a invitation card for a grand opening. It had to have a bit of a chique style, somewhat like the corporate identity of the company. I figured decorative elements would create a nice effect, but in the end, reusing the exact colors and typefaces, the result became a bit bland and seemed too stiff to be a welcoming invite.

So I went back to the drawing board, including the image from the logo, as well as a handdrawn typeface for the main message.

By the way, this is the cover of the invite, which will be a folding, square card. Details will be on the inside, which will have a design on its own! ;-)
