Good and bad design

During my UX courses at Interaction-Design Foundation, I've read these valuable words that basically became my motto when creating any kind of design.

I concentrate more on the aspects of usability/convenience, rather than beautiful/aesthetic design - I'm sorry if the elements are not aesthetic. But I wanted to make the bad elements noticeable.
