// INSTAGRAM // Redesign Concept for the App

Im happy to share with you my recent personal Projekt! As an Art and Design lover i spend almost everyday on Instagram. But the last redesign is many years ago so i though, how would Instagram look, when i give it a shot and focus on the user.

Besides the obvious i tried to give it a more intuitive and cleaner look that focus on the content of the users. I cleaned the system by kicking some obsolete features. and added call to actions to people tend to post and communicate more with each other.

– The biggest feature some of you might miss: I erased every Follower and Like Counting on the App!!! –

The Problem: Profiles with a lot of Followers tend to get more attention regardless of the Content. Also the amount of likes has a huge impact to the confidence of a lot of people.

With this radical change i want to switch the focus back to the content. The content would be more important now – content is king. People can individually rate an account just by the quality of their content and chose to follow simply if they like it or not. This would be a huge change to the current state of the app.
