Nanoparticles Visualized

DESY is one of the leading accelerator centers in the world. The facility develops, builds and operates large particle accelerators used to investigate the structure of matter. The center also claims the world’s most intense X-ray light, enabling even slightest nanoparticles to be seen in great detail. DESY’s large-scale facilities are opening up new opportunities for scientists and researchers to discover the developments of tomorrow.

In coordination with a study conducted by Århus University, DESY requested a visual representation of the formation of nanoparticles under X-ray light. To do this Lucid designed infographics, 3D images, and created an animation in an attempt to achieve the closest depiction of the discoveries made by the researchers and scientists involved in the analysis.
