The Torch is an annual publication that showcases student art, prose, and poetry. Each spring graphic design students at Union University pitch designs for the cover and interior layout to the editing team. This concept uses orange watercolor textures to create a flame erupting from the fountain pen, which resembles a torch. Maria's pitch was selected for the spring 2019 edition and was printed and released on May 3, 2019.
