Nathan Hackett / GQ, ‘Indie’s not Dead. It’s Just Been Revamped’

This large illustration by Nathan Hackett, was to accompany an opinion piece in GQ, reviewing the new album, ‘Father of the Bride’ by Vampire Weekend. The writer compared them to bands of the golden age of the indie breakout bands, and claiming they were now reigning above the artists of the era.

Several bands were given special mention throughout the article, so I was able to choose my own picks from the mentions, like Fleet Foxes and the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s.
