Texarkana Crest

A crest for my hometown of Texarkana. A place near and dear to my heart. For those of you that don’t know, Texarkana is a twin city on the border of Texas and Arkansas that has a pretty interesting history and I wanted to showcase it in this design.

The colors are red white and blue—the colors on both flags of Texas and Arkansas.⁣ In the bottom right quadrant you’ll also see a railroad. And the star places Texarkana where Texas and Arkansas meet. ⁣

In the top left quadrant you might see some unfamiliar shapes—those are Six Caddo Native American houses to symbolize their rightful ownership of the area and the six Caddo communities that surrounded Texarkana.⁣

I really enjoyed this one because it was fun and just allowed me to make something cool for my hometown.
