Wheeler-Kohn House

The Near South Side neighborhood in Chicago—once home to Chicago's elite—still has homes and mansions dating back to the late 1800s. Lately, when I've been walking around the neighborhood, I've been taking photos of these historic houses.

Here is the Wheeler-Kohn House. The house was built in 1870 by Otis L. Wheelock for Calvin Wheeler and became a Chicago Landmark in 1998. It was built in the Queen Anne and Second Empire style. Today, it functions as an intimate bed and breakfast operating as the Wheeler Mansion.
