Balance

I spend most days commuting, in meetings, giving feedback, team building, mentoring, hallway conversations, managing, writing docs, putting together presentations and thinking about design, which often leaves very little time to actually create. It's easy to get sucked in to the motions when you are part of a big team/organization and feel like you are doing "all the things", except the thing that got you the job in the first place. Making time to create has always always been a priority for me even if that means waking up an hour or two earlier than usual, leaving early from work, setting up a meeting with myself in the day, or taking on a side project - I've found that I am so much more present and engaged in all of the things that take up most of my time when I know I have at least a little time set aside to do what I love most. Finding that balance is what it's all about 💪
