Swift website | Personal project
Achievement unlocked: My first site 😊
Olssen.codes is a project where I post screencasts of what I learned from courses, or designed and coded.
At its core, the project is somewhat similar to DailyUi and 100 Days of swift, but my version will most likely not be 100 days or daily😀
It was always interesting how to create a site with scratch, as i want it to be, in a solo.
My recipe was:
- Design + adaptive layout without code;
- Own domain + Hosting;
- Ability to play vidos, because I want to do some things with sound, so GIF's isn't my case;
- Ability to subscribe to updates (suddenly someone will be interested).
Ingredients:
- Webflow (Didn't understand Tilda / Readimag);
- Reg.ru + ISPManager;
- Vimeo;
- Mailchimp.
It was very interesting to understand how domain rights are confirmed, how records are made in DNS, how to add SSL, set up a mailing list so that letters do not get into spam, setting up Google analytics, SEO (oh yeah, now I understand the importance of SEO guys).
There are plans to make a slightly better vimeo player on the site and add projects to the github so that everybody can download them if it's interesting to them.
I can say that this is my personal product, which brings me joy, knowledge and motivates to do better things. Don't know for how long I will last, but for the time being i'm excited with it =)
